Paula Modica began her education at McMaster University with an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology, during which time she worked as a personal trainer. She then practiced cognitive behavioural therapy for 1.5 years treating patients suffering with chronic pain and associated depression, working very closely with physicians of many specialties. From this career, she then decided that rehabilitation therapy was definitely her passion but wanted a more hands-on approach, which lead her to begin her massage therapy training.
In 2002, Paula graduated from the Canadian Therapeutic College, acquiring her diploma in massage therapy, followed by becoming registered with the College of Massage Therapists. Her specialties in massage therapy are deep tissue massage and sports injury treatments, however she has completed further training in hydrotherapy, IFC/TENS, AIS (assisted isolated stretching), kinesiotaping and level 1 acupuncture treatments as well. She enjoys promoting a healthy lifestyle by staying active with weight training and regular jogging for fitness.
Paula loves what she does and enjoys being a part of the team at Longevity Wellness in hopes of continuing to learn more about holistic healing.
